Personal Project
In today's world, many find themselves trapped in a cycle of behavior driven by dopamine. Common examples include endlessly scrolling through Instagram or seeking instant gratification from fast food, sparking discussions around "dopamine addiction." When constantly bombarded with dopamine stimuli, the frontal lobe's ability to react weakens. Inspired by this concept, I designed two contrasting typographic representations of dopamine-addicted versus healthy brains.
This project materializes as a zine-sized typography guidebook, with its compact format reminiscent of smartphones. The colors (blue, yellow, green, pink, red) effectively capture the essence of essential hues found on LCD displays, which I conveyed through a risograph printing technique. This is a personal project that I have taken ownership of the entire creative process in this work.
